What is a rental agent?
LejeScanner's rental agent is a saved search that keeps looking after you leave the website. You choose your criteria, and the agent compares them with new rental homes collected from more than 50 landlords.
This means you do not have to repeat the same search across many landlord websites every day. When a new home matches, it can be sent directly to your inbox.
How to create your rental agent
Start by searching for rentals and select the criteria that matter to you, such as city or area, maximum rent, number of rooms, size and preferred move-in date. Then save the search as your rental agent.
You can have up to 10 active searches at the same time, making it easier to follow several areas or different combinations of rent, size and rooms.
- Choose the cities, postcodes or areas where you want to live.
- Add rent, rooms, size and other relevant criteria.
- Save the search and choose how often you want an email.
We scan the market for new matches
LejeScanner collects current listings from more than 50 landlords and updates the homes regularly. Each active rental agent is used to find homes that fit the criteria you saved.
A match means the listing fits your filters based on the information available to us. Always open the property page and the original listing to verify every detail and contact the landlord.
Choose how often to receive new homes
You can receive new matches daily, weekly or monthly. Daily alerts are usually best in a competitive market where attractive rentals quickly receive many enquiries. Weekly or monthly summaries may suit you if your moving date is further away.
The rental agent remains active while you have an active subscription. You can edit the criteria, change the frequency, pause a search or delete it from My searches.
How to get better matches
A very narrow search returns fewer results, while a very broad search may include many homes that are not relevant. Use several focused agents if you are considering different cities or budgets.
Consider setting a slightly higher maximum rent or a wider area than your first choice. You can keep one precise search for your ideal home and a broader one for good alternatives.
