How does the platform work?
LejeScanner is an independent search engine for rental homes. We collect listings daily from recognized housing portals and housing organizations across Denmark and make them searchable in one place. You can filter by city, rent, rooms, size and amenities, save searches and get notified about new results. We do not own the homes and do not charge landlords. Our goal is to give you a fuller overview of the market so you can contact the landlord directly.
How do I find a home?
Create a search agent and choose your criteria, such as city, rent, size, rooms and whether pets are allowed. Use the filters to adjust your preferences and save the search to get notified when new homes appear. Consider widening your search to less obvious districts or nearby towns to find more and potentially cheaper options. You can always change your criteria in your profile.
How do notifications work?
When you save a search or set up a search agent, we automatically send email notifications when a new listing matches your criteria. You decide in your user profile how and how often you want to receive messages. Notifications can be changed or turned off at any time in your settings.
How do I avoid scams?
Even though we flag risky listings, you should stay alert: Never pay a deposit or prepaid rent before seeing the home and signing a valid lease. Use a secure payment method and get a receipt. Check whether the landlord actually owns the property through public ownership data, and consider speaking with neighbors if you are unsure. Avoid homes where the landlord will not let you register at the address. Have a tenant organization review the lease, and document defects when moving in.
How do I cancel?
Log in to your LejeScanner profile and choose "Cancel subscription" to stop automatic renewal. The cancellation takes effect at the next billing period; you keep access to paid features until the current period ends. We send the cancellation to Stripe and confirm it by email. You can restart your subscription later.
Can I get a refund?
When you buy digital services, the normal 14-day right of withdrawal only applies if you have not started using the service. For digitally delivered content, the right of withdrawal is lost once delivery has started with your consent. You can cancel before the trial period ends, but once you have used LejeScanner, refunds are generally not available unless required by law.
Does my LejeScanner subscription renew automatically?
Yes. Your subscription starts when payment is completed and renews automatically at the end of each billing period. The 72-hour trial for 24 DKK converts after 72 hours to a 28-day membership for 329 DKK unless you cancel in time. To avoid the next charge, cancel through your user profile before the period ends. You receive an email confirmation and can restart later.
How do I pay?
When creating a user, you choose either a 72-hour trial or a 28-day subscription and enter your payment details. Payments are handled through Stripe, which supports most credit and debit cards as well as Apple Pay. The trial starts when payment is registered and converts automatically to a paid subscription after 72 hours unless cancelled before then. You can change payment method or view invoices in your profile.
Why do I have to be 18 to subscribe to LejeScanner?
LejeScanner requires you to be legally adult when creating a subscription. People under 18 generally cannot enter subscription agreements without parental consent. Because LejeScanner processes personal information about rental search and payment, the age requirement helps ensure that users have the legal capacity to enter agreements and provide valid consent for data processing.
